Sigh of Relief for Shweta Basu Prasad
The renowned and national award-winning Telugu actor, Shweta Basu Prasad, who was allegedly sent to a rehab centre post the prostitution racket involving her was smashed, the sessions court has allowed her to live with her mother.
The alleged’s mother filed a revision plea which is now accepted. She challenged a lower court’s order that had on September 30th briefed her that Shweta would continue to stay at the rehab centre for six months.
The sessions court called for a renewed report from the rescue home which stated that it had no objection to her release, defence lawyer Pradeep Kumar said; following which, the court handed over her custody to her mother.
Further, in her application Shweta’s mother had accused the court for the violation of Fundamental rights. As per her, Shweta has been framed in this racket. On the contrary, Shweta herself confessed her involvement in the protitution business as she was broke and no new film was in the pipeline.
The police had raided a five-star hotel at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad in the first week of September and claimed to have busted a prostitution racket where she was spotted red handed.
